Frequently asked questions
If I want to get a fee proposal for a job, what do I need to send?
Ideally we will need the CAD drawings of the floor plan, the elevations, sections, truss plan, what type of HVAC system you want (packaged unit, split system, Chiller, etc.), if there is gas on the property, the time frame and the scope of work.
If the project proposal is accepted, how does the payment work?
We require 50% retainer up front before we start the project, and 50% remainder after we send you the completed files. We accept Zelle, Cash, Check, etc.
Are city comments included in the quoted price?
Yes, the price includes all the subsequent city comments. If the change to the plans comes from the city it is fully included. If the work scope or floor plan is changed by owner or architect, the changes are subject to an additional fee.
Do you perform Structural/Electrical/Civil Engineering?
We provide Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection services. If you require Structural, Electrical or Civil Engineering we can refer you to some of the best Engineers.
How does this process of procuring Sychro Engineering Services go?
You will send us as much information about the project as possible (the more detailed the plan set given the more accurate the quote can be). Next we will send you a fee and if you accept we will schedule the job after the 50% retainer payment. Once we complete the engineering design requested, we will send you the complete PDF sheets in a bundle that includes everything the city needs to approve the project. Finally, you will send us the remaining 50% of the fee. If city comments arrive (based on the original scope of work), we will take care of them promptly with no charge.
